Margaret, This haiku post is just gorgeous! While the holidays can be so hectic and draining, you remind us that "evergreen renews." I think haiku, and all things contemplative, renew as well, In fact, your blog renews. I love Mary, and wish we could focus more on cultivating the gifts she possessed, along with the spirit of Advent - we need that spirit of patience, hope and trust in this time. One of my favorite songs of this season is Amy Grant's Breath of Heaven, which is Mary's perspective of her biggest "advent."
