haiku my heart - freedom of the soul

Mountain laurel sings

Of the coolness amid trees--

When was life freer?

Haiku my heart is the vision of Rebecca Brooks at "recuerda mi corazon." If you would like to participate, just post your haiku on Fridays with an accompanying photo on your blog and link back to recuerda mi corazon.

  5. Hello, Margaret, thank you for visiting my blog and sharing the joy...we are free are we not? I forget that all the time, putting my own limitations and chains on myself where there are none. Blessings and love to you this weekend, Margaret, xoO

  13. Perfect pictures to go with the sentiments. Were we really freer back then? Maybe just blissfully ignorant and youthfully optimistic. "Oh but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

  14. oh that hammock, margaret. i hope that is where you go when it's time to head upward....

interesting question about freedom. to me there is no doubt my childhood and young adulthood was freer and simpler. i'm still optimistic for reasons that make sense to me but times are harder.
