  4. Wow, you are one lucky sod (as I often say to Owen)...looks like a fantastic night, AND no Patty? I guess she must be still locked in the cupboard under our stairs...

  5. Hi Blues! I was in one crowd, but not this one! this was from a concert in the Netherlands.

Hi Wanda! Yes, this was Bruce's last concert in Giants Stadium. But he'll be back in the neighboring new one! xxox

Hi KJ! Yes, Bruce is a very warm, charismatic man with no signs of stopping. xxox

Hi Saj! You have a good eye! Yes, indeed, there was no Patty! And you weren't there, so that left just me...;) My son got a picture of the stage, pretty close up. xxox

  6. Hey Margaret, I wish I had a ticket to go see Bruce. Peggy and I are going to see the closing tour production for Riverdance in Dallas in two weeks in Ft. Worth. I have tried emailing Friko and also sending her a comment on her blog but with no luck. I don.t know if the blogs work differently in the UK or not. Do you have another suggestion? As ever, Shelia

  8. I never saw Bruce in the flesh. Hmmm, that might be nice.....
Is it true what they say about Jersey girls?

  9. Hi Shelia! Funny coincidence, but Friko commented right after Julie and you. I sent her a comment to try to contact you again. I saw a great version of Riverdance last year: there were more acting (solos) and stage effects (castle, etc.) The first time I saw it years ago it was a straight line of dancers--thrilling! You're going to love it! They'll probably take one look at you and put you in the line! Have a great time! xxox

Hi Julie! Yeah! I felt like a teenager again! It was so exciting to be there!

Hi Friko! you commented just two below Shelia! Funny! Bruce Springsteen is the most charismatic person. It was a lot of fun. Well, too bad I was born in California (maybe I could be a Beach Boys' California Girl?!) The Jersey girls who have that personal style are from the shore area (most of New Jersey) which lends itself to beach parties, etc. Did you see the rabbit movie?! xxox

  10. Hi Margaret,
Right here goes, a mixed lot of comments and questions:
Yes, I did go over to Sagittarian for the rabbit blog, very funny. I left a comment there; thanks for pointing out the bunny story.
I have had no contact from Shelia, I shall try again on the back of her comment on your blog. Did you get my reply to your email? Could you just send another email to me if you did? Just yes will do if you are pushed for time.
The email button on the front of my homepage should work as should my blog at http://frikosmusings.blogspot.com
I am sure there is no difference between the States and the UK.
I shall now attempt to contact Shelia again.
Sorry about all this palaver, hope you don't mind. Thanks very much,
    Friko

  11. Hi Friko! Yes, I can't understand the mix up; after all, I live in the States, too. What I could do is enlarge the postcard (if possible), copy the German words, and send them to you. Yes, I did get your email (thank you!) and will write back to you from there. It's like a maze where we run into each other all over the place! LOVE xxox

  12. Lucky you to be there! My husband and I saw him in 2004 in Portland, OR. What a show. What a guy.
(Thanks for visiting my blog, Margaret. As it turns out we are both residents of Blogland Lane, but I haven't been very active in the community...)
