Snore! Oops, sorry, I was off there for a moment!
ReplyDeleteLovely, gorgeous, sensuous, self-indulgent, pampering session.
What could be more welcome. Or necessary.
Relaxing post indeed. The Quiet Man? The one with John Wayne? I like that movie very much but the fight is far from quiet. Thanks Mags have a great day
ReplyDeleteHow can you expect us to leave a comment when you have so seductively led us into . . . . . ooops my head just nodded . . . where am I?
ReplyDeleteIt works!
:)
aaaah....that sounds good right about now Margaret! LOL...the windy ocean air makes my eyes very tired! Beautiful choice of pictures! xxx
ReplyDeleteI can just see Mavis Gallant's next blurb on her latest book's jacket cover: "The perfect stories to nod off with!"
ReplyDeleteWe have a long sofa in the sunniest room of our house that is perfect for a short afternoon nap, warmed by the sun's rays.
My cats would get into too much trouble if I took a nap!
ReplyDeleteI have a daybed in what I call my Quiet Room...it faces the afternoon sun...has a soft throw...sandalwood candles near and music to snooze by...plus the sound of 2 ticking clocks, which I love!
ReplyDeleteWake up, Friko! I said no more than 30 minutes! The best part of the Steps is that the nap is planned, and thus we are putting aside time to take a break and not sitting and closing one eye for a second.

Hi Blues! Well, it has Quiet in the title! Actually, I was remembering the Quiet Man's House ner Galway in Ireland. A beautiful cottage with the love story between Maureen O'Hara and John Wayne. My favorite western is Shane! And yours?
-----
Have a nice nap, Bonnie! You'll wake up so refreshed!
-----
Hi Rain! What a nice place to take a nap! By the beach!
-----
Hi Lynne! You know, I thought the same thing about the movies... not boring, just calming. Your Florida room sounds dreamy!
-----
Hi Sharon! Unless you chose the exact moment they were planning to nap--then you could lie down for a bit.
Wanda, that sounds lovely! Especially on a raw, cloudy day like today. You are all set up! I love the idea of two ticking clocks--very hypnotic.
ReplyDeleteI am such a sucker for giner cats, I think it's to do with Thomasina being my favourite movie when i was a kid (even tho' it was sad); lovely post!
ReplyDeleteHi Saj! Orange tabbies are the best! Smart, friendly, funny... Oh, I didn't see Thomasina! but I saw Morris the Cat at a pet food display once at Petco!
ReplyDeleteI posted a message yesterday but the gremlins ate it so here we go again...
ReplyDeleteI love all these dreamy pre-raphelite images...it must be the romantic in us Margaret...
My body balance class ends with a deep relaxation to Tibetan flute music...which I have just found on amazon and ordered...by Naway Khechog ..
Happy days
Hi Delwyn~ That Tibetan flute music sounds heavenly...I have the Tibetan singing bowls (seven metals) cd. and Dan has taken up the flute! I remember hearing the Native American flute resonating all over Sedona. such a soothing, mystical sound.
ReplyDeletebtw, look below at my prior post! I was able to get Bruce singing Mary's Place!! :)
I had a lovely little nap this afternoon... I second the motion heartily...
