silkie seal on midsummer night's eve

Jamie, the silkie seal, is coming out of the ocean for one day, Midsummer's Night Eve. Today she will see her human son Baigh!
Jamie teaches Baigh how to swim underwater so they may have more time together.

Feeding the ducks is so much fun while the day is young!
The day is getting darker so they decide to take a long walk along the beach and just talk.

Jamie and Baigh see the bright full moon overhead and run to the boardwalk carnival for their last few hours together.
Looking up at the setting moon, Jamie knows it is time to slip into her sealskin and swim out to sea.

Happy Father's Day!

The surprise was a ride to Port Jervis
On a train powered by a steam locomotive.
Dad told his three sons many things about the train.
He was the leader and the teacher.
Now each son has more parity with the father.
All four ride the wheel equally;
A lot less managing, a lot more sharing:
The circle of life.

full strawberry moon

A single white gardenia petal
Floats down the silvery stream
In rhythm with the moon's gentle pull.
The reflection of my heart
Emanates from the hazy full moon
Up in the indigo sky
Midst the sparkling of stars. Harmony.
